Dr. Lini Mickus DMD joined the team at Chena Dental Care in September 2021. Dr. Mickus was born in China and moved with her family when she was only three years old. Growing up, her family lived in many places around the world, including three different continents: South America, Europe, and North America. Her family finally settled in sweet home Alabama.

Dr. Mickus’s journey to dentistry began during her time as a dental assistant in the United States Air Force (USAF). Towards the end of her first enlistment, she decided that she wanted to become a dentist. In 2005, she attended the UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama, on a full scholarship from the USAF. Upon graduation, she enrolled at the USAF Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Joint Base Bolling AFB in Washington, DC. Later, while stationed in Aviano AB, Italy, Dr. Mickus met her husband, who is currently serving at Eielson AFB.

Dr. Mickus understands that many patients have some fear and anxiety when visiting the dentist. She hopes to build a foundation of trust by treating each patient as a unique individual and providing patients with a positive environment. She provides the best care to her patients with a comprehensive and preventive approach to oral health.

While Dr. Mickus is fully committed to her dentistry career, she believes that her most important job is to be a wife and mother to her children. Dr. Mickus and her family enjoy living in Alaska and exploring the outdoor opportunities.
